Leroy Merlin South Africa has taken a bold step forward with the launch of what might be the country’s first mobile hardware app, designed to make DIY and home improvement easier, smarter, and more accessible than ever.

Free to download, the app offers a seamless mobile-first experience tailored to local needs. It supports offline browsing for low-connectivity areas, allows in-app self-checkout to skip queues, and is searchable in five South African languages. Whether you’re a contractor on-site or a homeowner planning your dream space, the app helps you stay in control.

From scanning barcodes in-store for instant product details to building project-based shopping lists, tracking orders, and accessing digital receipts, every feature has been designed with simplicity and convenience in mind. In-app chat, real-time notifications, and quick refunds mean less time on hold and more time getting things done.

With five Gauteng stores already serving customers on the ground, the app now extends Leroy Merlin’s full range from hardware and construction to kitchens, décor, and garden essentials directly into the palm of your hand.

It’s perhaps about to be a complete reimagining of how South Africans can shop, plan, and build.

The Leroy Merlin South Africa App is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. I am not yet sure why it says it’s not available in my country, while it has 5M+ downloads, so that’s perhaps something I find a little strange at the moment.
