The Art Directors Club (ADC) has announced Dreamina AI, a ByteDance company, as its exclusive AI partner for a new, free AI Visual Design – Dreamina AI category at the 105th ADC Annual Awards. The category recognises creators using generative AI as a creative collaborator to push the boundaries of visual craft, continuing ADC’s long tradition of honouring evolving creative tools since its founding in 1921.

Powered by Dreamina AI’s proprietary models, including Seedream for high-quality 4K image generation, Seedance for video, and OmniHuman AI avatars, the competition invites entrants to explore AI as a “camera for imagined worlds” that turns ideas into production-ready visuals.

The entry brief, “Imperfection,” challenges creatives to celebrate messiness, contradiction and human nuance, using AI to enhance rather than erase these qualities. Submissions may include video, motion graphics, animation or posters.

Entry is free, with a deadline of Monday, 16 March (no extensions). Work will be judged on idea, craft and execution, with prizes awarded as follows:

• 1 Gold Cube and USD $6,000 (First Place)
• 3 Silver Cubes and USD $4,000 each (Second Place)
• 6 Bronze Cubes and USD $2,000 each (Third Place)

Entrants must be 18 or older and register on both the ADC Awards and Dreamina AI platforms. Each participant receives 1,000 Dreamina AI credits to create their entries.
