Nothing tickles my brain like a fresh announcement of a brand partnership with a sports event, a brand extending their partnership with a sports event, or even collaborating with a sports event at any given avenue. This brings us to this morning brain tickle. The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series has confirmed the extension of its partnership with AVIS the car rental company as the Official Mobility Partner into the 2026 race season.

Building on two successful years (2024–2025), AVIS plans to continue its support of South Africa’s premier mass participation road running events across five major cities. AVIS plays a key role in the series by providing reliable rental vehicles and logistics support, helping both runners get to events easily and organisers move equipment smoothly behind the scenes, contributing to seamless, world-class race experiences.

Stillwater Sports’ Managing Director highlighted AVIS’s vital contribution to delivering memorable races, while AVIS reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the experience for all participants as the series continues to grow.
