A South African-founded parenting technology platform, Parent Sense, has been selected to join the 2026 Innovation Hub Fellowship at the Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities at Georgetown University.
Founded by parenting expert Meg Faure, the platform will participate in the three-month programme in Washington, DC, alongside a global cohort of healthtech start-ups focused on improving maternal and early childhood health systems. Faure, together with Chief Operating Officer Tové de Chazal Gant, recently travelled to the United States to begin the fellowship, which combines product development with market access support.
The Innovation Hub Fellowship brings together entrepreneurs and sector leaders developing solutions aimed at strengthening outcomes for children and families. It is designed to support the scaling of innovations that address gaps in early childhood development, maternal health and family wellbeing.

Since its founding, Parent Sense has developed into a digital platform offering guidance to families from pregnancy through the early years of a child’s life. Its services combine developmental science, medical expertise and technology to deliver personalised support on infant health, sleep, feeding and parental wellbeing through a mobile app, digital courses and AI-enabled tools.
In South Africa, the platform has partnered with major medical aids including Momentum Health, Discovery Health and Medihelp, supporting thousands of families with evidence-based resources during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life. This period is widely recognised as critical to long-term health, development and parental wellbeing.
With a digital-first approach, Parent Sense is designed to deliver accessible, personalised support across diverse populations, enabling broader reach within healthcare systems while maintaining tailored guidance for parents.
The Thrive Center, based at Georgetown University, focuses on advancing research and innovation at the intersection of child development, mental health and community wellbeing. Its Innovation Hub Fellowship supports global leaders working to scale solutions that improve outcomes for children and families.
