If this comes off as a stretch, so be it, but I have grown to believe that Havas Group is gradually becoming one of the world’s largest advertising and communications groups at a global scale, with the recent announcement, one can say that at the helm of this growing success is Alberto Canteli who has been playing an instrumental part in the company  as chairman and CEO overseeing several regions.

His efforts in the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Korea, and Japan have made Canteli a vital role player in the expansion of Havas across the world.

Being at the leading table of Havas for 22 years has gained Canteli knowledge of the ins and outs of growing a company like Havas into the powerhouse it is today. With the Africa extension and offices based in Johannesburg, the recent nomination of Provit Chemmani as CEO Africa who will report directly to Alberto, doesn’t go unnoticed but we highlight today, Havas announcing the appointment of Alberto Canteli as Executive Chairman Africa, a role he entered into on Monday, 1 September 2025, in addition to his current responsibilities as Chairman and CEO of Havas Nordics, Benelux, Central-Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
