Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced Nestlé BarOne as its official snack partner in a new multi-year collaboration that brings together two household names rooted in South African culture.
Nestlé, a global food and beverage leader with a longstanding presence in South Africa, adds BarOne, one of the country’s most recognisable confectionery brands, to the world of local cricket. Known for its distinctive taste and enduring popularity, BarOne now enters the game as a brand aligned with cricket performance, resilience, and shared moments of energy.
As part of the partnership, Nestlé BarOne will roll out in-stadium fan experiences and match-day activations at both Proteas Men’s and Proteas Women’s fixtures, supported by nationwide retail campaigns designed to engage cricket fans across the country.

The collaboration will be anchored by Nestlé BarOne’s new campaign, Big Bar One Energy, a celebration of moments that demand both physical and mental endurance. Inspired by the resilience and determination of the Proteas, the campaign will come to life across retail, broadcast, match-day, and digital platforms, centred on the idea of energy for a 25-hour day. CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki welcomed the partnership, noting its alignment with the organisation’s values:
“Nestlé BarOne is a natural fit for CSA. We value partnerships that support performance, inclusivity, and broad participation in sport, and this collaboration reflects a shared focus on energy, resilience, and engagement — from grassroots cricket to the Proteas.”
Nestlé’s Market Head for East and Southern Africa, Nicole Roos, described the partnership as a long-term commitment to high performance and the unifying power of sport:
“Big Bar One Energy is about owning defining moments — the split-second reactions and hours of relentless concentration that can change the course of a game or a career. This partnership goes beyond branding; it’s about standing with the Proteas and celebrating the energy that connects generations of South Africans.”
With this partnership, Nestlé BarOne steps onto the cricket field as a sponsor and brand seemingly invested in the moments, big and small, that will define the game. One hopes that this partnership will seek to continue for many seasons to come and further develop into brand alignment that benefits Cricket in South Africa.
