The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation has opened applications for its University Fellowship Programme, aimed at high-performing Grade 12 learners with strong entrepreneurial potential. Applications close on 30 April 2026 at 5pm.

More than a funding opportunity, the fellowship focuses on long-term entrepreneurial development. Successful candidates receive needs-based financial support for university studies, alongside mentorship, structured mindset development and access to a national network designed to help young people build purpose-driven ventures with social and economic impact.

The foundation is calling on members of the Class of 2026 who demonstrate leadership, curiosity and a commitment to contributing to South Africa’s future economy.
Who can apply Applicants must be South African citizens under 21 in the year of application, with a minimum of 60% in Pure Mathematics or 80% in Mathematical Literacy, and an overall Grade 11 average of 70% (excluding Life Orientation).
